So I had another visit at the Dizzy clinic this morning...I guess it went well, my symptoms didn't subside from thursday, I'm exhausted from sleeping upright and I'm feeling frustrated that i just can't move my head like normal or I will fall over. Today was good, but the rehab guy told me I had a severe case this time. I have another visit on Wednesday, So its back to square 1 with my life restrictions...
On that note, Tino and i had a marvelous dinner last night at the Keg. With busy lives its nice to sit accross from your life long partner, chat, do a couple cheers with a few drinks, enjoy some good food and just relax. We ended our evening with a trip to Indigo. We LOVE book store's, and we go to a chapter's or an indigo often on friday nights after Dinner. There is something about a book store, so much to look at, I love the smell of books and they have different things there.
Today we are going to a matinee, When In Rome. I'll let you all know how it is, followed by our favourite Soup Joint, Wonton King. Its a tad chilly today but thats okay, the sun can't shine everyday!
Have a great saturday everyone

The Scents of Morocco
I found this product at Bath and Body works this summer in Florida. When the store opened in Calgary i found the same product. When i ran out of it i went back and it was GONE!! The smell is so unique and it was a limited time thing so i found it online at 75% off and I stocked up. I hope it comes back this summer. I'm not a Perfume fan, I'd rather have a body lotion or bath wash to smell nice.
Honey and Dat body Yoghurt, and Safron and Fig shower Gel ( I use this as bubble bath too)
If you can ever get your hands on this stuff, buy it and try it, you'll love it!

One Dizzy Girl
Vertigo.....TERRIBLE.....
Has anyone ever had vertigo? Its very common, we scan people almost everyday for Vertigo. Up until about 2 years ago, i suffered from this a little bit. Every time I'd go to the hairdresser and lean my head back the room would spin a little but nothing crazy. My Mom gets it too so when it happened to me I was not scared, and thankfully i was not vomiting either.
About a year and half I woke up from a nightmare, that i was in a roll over car accident, when i got out of bed i got so dizzy I thought i was fainting, but I didn't. Then in the grocery store i felt like i was staggering, and i was off balance. My last straw was when i bent over at work to change and oxygen tank and fell over onto the floor. The patient actually told me about the Dizzy Clinic, no joke, its a real thing.
I made an appointment, and when i got there I had no idea what I was in for. Finally someone understood how i felt, dizzy, off balance, just weird but I learnt to live with it. She put these goggles on me, it was pitch black, flipped me backwards, i barfed all over...then we tried it again..HORRIBLE. 10 minutes later, after manipulating me different ways and turning my head to get the inner ear crystals back in place VOILA!! I was cured. I had to follow specific instructions for 3 days, sleeping sitting up, no bending side ways or forward etc. A week later I jumped on the bed, did a summer Salt and i was totally okay, no more Vertigo. The lady that fixed me is actually a physio therapist with special training in Vestibular rehab and balance training....and 98% of her patients never suffer from it again.......hahahahahahah
Of course only Deena would land in that 2% category. My alarm went off this morning, I jumped out of bed, and BOOM..i fell down...oh god....not again, i made my way to the bathroom put my head in my hands...WORSE.....if I never had this before I'd thought for sure I was having a stroke. I gave myself 5 minutes, got ready, packed my lunch, kind of forget, bent over to put my uggs on...BOOM...fell on the floor....Still in denial, i walked to the garage, it felt like i was in an earth quake staggering, got my barrings and drove to work...Long story short I ended up a the Dizzy clinic AGAIN....
Today was the same sort of experience as last time. I was very nervous to go but I had to, to get this fixed, after the 2 hour long session, I think he nipped it in the butt, but now i'm back on very limited movement and sleeping sitting up. Its a good thing its Thursday night and my shows are on.
Just so you all know, if you ever get this, don't leave it, and don't drive, call the dizzy clinic, they have them everywhere!!

Today
Today was an interesting day at work, nothing crazy but now that I've had dinner, got out of my disease infested scrubs I can sit and reflect. My department is Very busy, we are the the bussiest scanner in North America, so we have the highest volume of patients, and not to mention we are the major stroke centre, Trauma center, and a Cancer centre. Today we were So busy, at times i got grumpy, we laughed A lot, swore sometimes, but most of us ran our butts getting these patients done. Today i worked so hard, i was actually sweating...but in the midst of it all, i was given 3 compliments...
1. You are very cheerful, how do you stay so cheerful in such a depressing place....I answered why thank you.
Someone going through cancer treatment, just drank 2L's of water and bowel medication, they have no hair, or money so they have to take the bus home, But they took the energy to tell me that...
2. I love your your shoes...I answered Thank you...you need some sort of style to go with these terrible Navy blue scrubs.
Everyday the Tech's in my deparment wear the same uniform day in and day out. I add to them by wearing Black and White Giraffe print shoes. They are very comfy, Expensive but worth every penny. They are made by Allegro, they are the "new" thing in the hospital. This patient must have noticed me in the hallway back and forth, and back and forth up and down, while they also drank there water in the hallway for 2 hours....what else to look at then that girls crazy shoes... ( me Of course)
3. Would you like to go for Chinese sometime???.......I RAN LIKE HELL AND BEGGED A CO-WORKER TO GET HIM OFF THE SCANNER!!
A very old chinese man that I looked after this afternoon was so sweet and I gave him some extra TLC wanted to take me for some "special" chinese food! hahahaha I quickly took out his IV and sent him on his way with his son!
So after all that, and 2 hours overtime, here I am, with my Health, my Amazing husband and my Itunes which I love and brings me to this....
My favorite Movie is SICKO, if you have not seen it, you really should, its created by Michael Moore. Its a documentary comparing the highly profitable American health care industry to other nations. Everyone knows about the American Health care system, it SUCKS and i can say that because I have experienced it once in Palm Springs. Our Health care system on the other hand, I also think it Stinks but these people are looked after, and they are not just a number, they are a person...someones mother, or father etc...
One of my favorite songs by Cat Stevens, its called Don't be Shy!! I will try to Post it to my Blog...(as soon as I learn how)
Good night!!

Sunday's
I LOVE Sundays! When i was growing up Sunday was always a family day. We would stay home, bake with mom, watch movies at home, or go skiing. It always ended in a nice family dinner. I try and keep that tradition going. Tino's family always went to church then had an afternoon Italian dinner at Gramma's. I've experienced that on several occasions and its always so fun. We have no family in Calgary except for my sister so when she is not busy we always try to include her in our Sunday family Dinner.
We usually sleep in and have coffee in the morning and I love to watch the Reno show's on TLC. Making breakfast happens too. My Dad would always make his tasty homeade hashbrowns, we look forward to those when we are all together on special occasions, I don't make them, they are way too much work!
Sunday has also become a catch up day, I'm usually preparing for my 7 day work week every other sunday so it consists of laundry, grocery shopping, costco and any catch up work that needs to be done. Since we moved into a house there are alot of on going jobs that need to be completed like changing light bulbs etc, but those are Blue jobs, Tino gets to look after those kind of things.
Today is very snowy and as much as I'd love to lay in bed and watch movies all day, our fridge is empty so I have to venture out and look after that.
All in all its been a great weekend, I had a bad headache but it seems to be lifting and now I can get some things done. Tino is coming home this afternoon after being away for the weekend so I'm excited to catch up with him and spend a cozy night at home.
What are your Sunday's like??

Me Time
Since Tino and I met, we are very good at letting eachother be themselves, keep our own identity and enjoy our own time. All that aside, we still Love to do things together all the time, so on the flip side, taking time out for ourselves is sometimes a task.
Tino is away this weekend coaching a soccer team, so i have this whole weekend to myself. That being said, here I am, twiddling my thumbs on a Saturday morning....haha, it makes me giggle because I love my alone time, I take advantage of it, I can do anything I want including eating cereal for supper, clean my house, go shopping have dinner with friends, go out with the girls, watch what i want on TV...and the list could go on forever. I could still do all those things even if Tino was home, but to be honest I'd rather be having fun with my husband instead of always having girl time. I've noticed that the older I get, the less I need from others. We are so happy to stay home on a weekend and not even leave the house, where as 5 years ago, that would of never happened. Being married is the best thing ever, because you get a BFF all the time, a fun roommate, someone to help you make decisions, and someone to always buy you Dinner!!!
I have to finish off by saying, I wouldn't change my life for second, I wouldn't even want to bump it back a few years because I prefer to be where I am at now, and we have both grown so much together.
Have a great weekend Everyone.

Work!!!
Today is my first day off after working 7 days in a row, thats how my shifts roll, 7 on and then 7 off. I often pick up shifts on my week off to almost make me full time, but sometimes I don't. I Love having that option, and it gives me alot of leeway when it comes to taking time off or having appt's or what have you. I have to say working 7 days in a row is alot. After waking up at 5:30 am for 7 days, i'm very tired, also it seems i have no time for anything on those days, my house goes to shit, i don't do laundry i kind of just leave everything and work. Come my 7 off, i catch up on everything and it seems i'm preparing for my next 7 on. As bad as it sounds, its actually really great, here i am Monday morning in my PJ's sipping several cups of Joe, while others are waking up to alarm clocks, fighting traffic and going to work. On the downside, I'm scheduled every second weekend, but that give's my husband time to do anything he likes...
Plans for this week...
Getting our alarm system finished
Finishing up my wedding scrapbook ( its about time its been a year)
Going to a Norwex party
thats just a few things that i'd like to Conquer this week...
Happy Monday everyone

Babies...
Today there was A LOT of baby talk, i don't have a bun in the oven yet, but what I do have is a lot of questions, how do you know when your ready, how rewarding is it, do you miss your before life? Getting up in the night and nursing a baby doesn't sound like fun at all, nor does living on a maternity leave income, no more vacations, no sleep, and giving up our last room in our house. On the flip side there is so much joy a child brings, I have seen that in new parents, so right now in my life i'm at a toss, i can easily wait a couple years, but my clock is ticking and sooner is better then later, but there are so many if's ands or buts about it...so there.
I have bought a few books, what to expect before expecting, and another one i can't remember the name off the top of my head. I'm learning a lot, and I find it interesting...so tell me this...
How do you know when your ready???

PVR
My husband came home on Boxing day with a PVR...and many other little gadgets that have been on our "to buy" list. Its become a very exciting important appliance in our home. Not only can i tape my favorite shows, but i can also fast forward through commercials, pause it, and best of all watch my shows whenever i want. I LOVE it.
Today i ran into a friend whom i haven't seen in ages, she inspired me to write a blog, as i follow hers. Slowly but surley i will get my pictures just right, be posting video's and writting about things on a daily basis, i'm excited!
Considering today was my first day back at work after 3 weeks off, it was a good one, and because of the warm chinook breeze and the shinning sun, it made this monday not so bad after all.

So today is the day, although its almost time to wash up and call it a night, but i will be sure to come back tomorrow...
Happy Monday ya'll
