Our weekend...maybe the last of "OUR"

I've had a really great weekend. I think there are 2 reason's, one being Tino and I are really spending a lot of quality time together because we keep thinking its not just going to be us anymore..( that makes my eye's fill up, these hormones get me all teary eyed), and because It was really eventfull!

On friday night we went out for a great dinner. I was craving steak, obviously my body is gearing up for something and an extra Iron kick may be needed. We went to Nicks steak house, kind of a dive in the wall, but we aren't huge Fan's of the keg, there shake on spice isn't great, and nicks is just somewhere warm and easy. It was great.

On Saturday we slept in a little bit and tino had soccer, so I managed to chill in my Jammies and do nothing till 1pm. When he came home we went for lunch, napped for 2 hours then went and saw the movie, Life as we Know it. How appropriate.




It was sad, and funny, but after seeing that we'll be getting a will in order. After it being out for 5 weeks, the theatre was still jam packed!

Last night was the time change, we still slept in, didn't even notice a differece although its 5pm and getting dark out. I met my friends Charlene and Erin for Brunch at the carriage house inn. It was fantastic, if you have never been I strongly reccomend. After brunch we went to the baby show, there was a few cool things there, i finally decieded on a baby carrier, I beleive i'm going with the mei tai, but i will wait to try her in it, once my belly goes down and i have the baby. People are so funny..oh when are you due..when i tell them tuesday they almost freak out...

This afternoon Tino and I drove out to elbow falls and did an hour hike..yes thats right..we hiked, up hills stairs, walked for an hour you name it...i'm gonna walk this baby right out of me! It felt good to breath in the fresh air, and take advantage of a beautiful day, as winter arrive's tomorrow.

November 5th....and flip flops!!

This glorious weather makes me happy, because I don't have to bend over and put socks on :)

Today at my Dr's appt, she told me they will let me go till the 25th due to small baby size, and keep on eye on the placenta. No problem I said, and left the office on my marry way. So at most I only get 20 full more sleeps...WOW. Its really going to happen soon, as if i'm not so bloody ready. I told Tino last night would of been perfect, or this weekend, although we have a date set up for saturday night.....and i have brunch and baby trade fair plans on sunday..soooooo how about next tuesday...my 1st of 3 due dates given, then i have monday to get organized and feel ready again, and we have the weekend to sleep in :) I even bought new jammies for the hospital but after my bath and clean bedding I couldn't resist and had to steal a pair out of my hospital bed. What was I thinking, i woke up soo HOT in the night...its not cold enough for flannels!



Today I recieved a huge box of goodies from Regina. Nothing says love like handmade gifts, and you cannot buy anything as nice as a hand made gift. It was stuffed full of sweaters, and blankets and baby bedding etc, all made from grandma Jackie and Grandma fusco. WOW, i can't wait till she come's to put her in these most beautiful knitted sweaters and wrap her in these hand made blankets..GORGEOUS....okay i have to stop cause my eye's start to fill...little emotional over here :)

Also in the box was a bunch of the " little golden books" from when tino was a little boy. They are so old, they even smell old but I love them. I really love books and reading will be a big part of our little one's daily activity. I want to be able to go to the book store and let her pick out a book, and I want to go to the library for story time, etc. Thats something I did when i was growing up. I think its so important, it takes away from all the digital crap thats available now, there is something about turning the page of a real book, instead of swiping your finger accross and ipad!

November 1st...

About 9 months ago I never though november would arrive, I never thought i'd be in the place in my life, wow do things change.
My baby is due in 9 sleeps...9 SLEEPS!!!!!!!!!!! 19 sleeps at most if I go over due...24 sleeps if they let me go 2 weeks over due...I can definilty handle that. I have to say, still not to the point of, I can't stand it anymore, infact I feel great.

We had a wonderfull weekend. Saturday was supposed to be date night, but instead we were invited over to our friends place for dinner and Pumpkin Carving, it was so much fun. Next saturday will be date night, I honestly don't think baby is coming anytime soon, and I definilty haven't been waiting around for it either, infact I should probably just slow down and take a rest, who's to say I"m not napping though :)

Every Monday seems to be the same routine, change the sheets do all the laundry, then tuesday I clean house. I feel if i keep it up while I can, then I will always be ready for the baby, although I think last week was the last time I can ever clean the shower or tub till the baby come's. Its TIno's job now...he's actually pretty good! I could hire a cleaner, but then i'm never happy with it, not up to my standards and I end up doing it myself anyways.

This week I have a few plans, I'm going to have a visit with my friend Terri and hopefully see her new puppy, on Friday i have my weekly appt then a potluck at work for a receptionist also going on mat leave, other then that just lay low and enjoy my time.

I could be cooking up a storm but its so nice outside, thats the last thing on my mind.
