Live, Learn and Laugh

Well...this post is so Long overdue, I'm not sure where we begin.

This parenthood thing has taken us for the BIGGEST..ROUGHEST...HAPPIEST....SCARIEST...TIREDEST RIDE OF OUR LIVES......there has been so many ups...with a couple bumps in the road.

Ottavia is 14 months, I know its cliche' but they just grow up so fast. Being a mom for the first time is harder then university, labour, marriage, excersising etc. Having a great husband helps, but also having a bestie that you can relate to who also has a young one helps. This little chicken of ours has become a real person, with feelings, who has emotion, she show's affection, know's what she wants, and is SOO ATTATCHED TO DADDY...Its really unbelievable to watch, so the saying goes...little boys love their mommy, where as little girls love there daddy and thats how the cookie crumbles and it is in FULL existance in the Fusco House.

Ottavia has had 2 big illness's both stomach related. Its so difficult seeing a little one sick for so long, frustrating as well because she cannot say whats bothering her, but we pulled through and she is back to her fiesty self. When its happening it feels like the world is ending, honeslty...but then we wake up and its over hahahah

As soon as you have your first baby the next question is...so when are you having another one....just for you all to know...NOT FOR A REALLY LONG TIME, I feel like we are just getting our life back, we can leave her with a babysitter and now worry, she is getting easier and more fun.

Sticking with a schedule and commiting my entire Maternity leave to my daughter was the best decision i have ever made. I know people make fun of me, and mock me for staying home so my baby naps etc, but now...Ottavia is a GREAT sleeper, she naps, she's happy, she's content, she rarley cries because her needs are met and she is not tired. It was a year of commitment but it was SO WORTH IT...nothing come's easy, it was hard work and took perservearence but I believe now that i got the reward!

This little social butterfly has really showed us what is important and to stop and see the teeny tiny things that have meaning. Its taught us to slow down and breath once in a while.

I could of NEVER EVER survived this year without Tino. He seriously has been my ROCK, and we definilty enjoy our time together between me working shift work..him running his own company and working full time, having a daughter...we did it....and we still love eachother!!

Another note, we have lots going on this year, my sister is getting married, Tino and I have a couple getaways planned TOGETHER with no baby....and....we'll see what the rest of this year brings!!

at the end of the day...this is what is the most important.....
