Today we went to see the infant chiroprator....WOW she is not at all what I expected. What wonderful place, so baby friendly, easy going, a change table, places to feed your baby, they will even look after your baby if you want a massage, plus there is a physio there too.
I was a little apprehensive about bringing Ottavia to a chiro...I have never been to one myself, being an x ray tech, its kind of hard to go to one after seeing chiro injuries, uneeded radiation for x rays they always send people for ect.
Today there was no adjusting like one would think...but she definitly gave me some insight on Ottavia's slumped posture, etc and hopefully with a few treatments then some physio we are good to go. She was wonderfull and I felt so comfortable with her, she sounded like she really knew what she was talking about and I will see results so i know something right is being done...
All that being said, ottavia totally played stranged, cried..got mad..didn't like her one bit! Dr. Hort was so good with her, she deals with kids and babies everyday, but as soon as she handed her to me, Ottavia would give the stink eye and stop crying.
As we were leaving, just after i got her fed, changed and all calmed down a lady came right up to the carseat in her face and starting gooing at her..BAM...she lost it again..why do people do that?? hahaha honestly, of course she is going to make strange when some stranger goes into her personal space :)
I go back on friday, hopefully this is going to help our babe sit up straight, enjoy tummy time and get the knots out of her spine area!
I used to cry and scream at men a lot...she'll warm up to the chiro. Good for you for seeking out options even if you're not the most 'comfortable' with them. One lucky baby!
