I'm on evening 4 of 7 shifts in a row....and I don't do well on no sleep. Being tired and working isn't like being tired with a new baby...
I don't remember the drive home last night, we scanned 47 patients...now for you folks that don't know what that means...it means...HOLY %&*$ WE BROKE A RECORD!! When I get home home I usually load my dishes in the dishwasher, hang my coat up and give my hands a big wash. Sometimes I'll pick up some toys that Tino's eyes sometimes have missed our empty the garbage that Tino's eye's also missed but instead I dropped everything at the door, locked it, set the alarm crawled up the stairs, washed up and crawled into bed. The clock said 12:17am....and i didn't stir until I heard "DADDY" at 7:10. At that point i opened my nightstand drawer and found 2 earplugs, shoved them in as far as they could go, rolled over...and then I looked at the clock it said 9:36 am....
I strolled downstairs where Coach and O greeted me with hugs and kisses :) I was just as happy to see them, after playing Dr. ( I always have to be the patient) I made a coffee and Tino got Ottavia dressed and they left the house to run some errands. I drank coffee, read the news , did some banking, cleaned the kitchen, did a load of laundry...and walked around it circles waiting for everyone to come home.
My morning was wonderful, and its amazing what some sleep does for a person. I'm still really tired tonight but it seems as the the fullmoon crazies all came out before the actual fullmoon appeared (tonight)..THANK GOD!!
Only 3 shifts left after this!! yahoo I can see the end of the tunnell! ....
and so this is what i've done this week from the lack of slumber....
- put my wallet in the fridge
- poured water in my coffee instead of cream
-left my keys in the door all night long
-took chicken out and left it on the deep freeze
Holy Crap 47 patients! That's crazy!
ReplyDeletePraying for the full moon to be gone.
