What more can i say, the heat will be the death of me. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sun baby, I love to lay in the sun, I love play outside when its hot, but when it come's down to going to bed.....oh boy...
Yesterday when We got home from work, the house was quite cool. We had all the windows and blinds closed. we opened the blindes but kept the windows shut to keep the heat out. We went to bed it was warm but nothing unbearable.....but when 1230 hit.....and i was sweating....and still sweating and looking at the clock at 3:30 I was ready to kill someone. There is nothing WORSE!! Tino was hot also...but Tino is not pregnant. I'm so tired today, I feel like crap, and I'm still hot. I know, everyone just love's to say..."Oh You Just Wait"... its like they are threatening me or something, but I know the heat phase is just beginning...thats why I didn't buy a lot of maternity clothes for the summer, I'd rather lay on the leather couch in the Basement naked...hehehehehe

PINK PINK PINK!!!!!!!!!!
I hate pink....BUT ITS A GIRLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe it. We have known for a few weeks that we were having a girl, I'm a cheater and my friend gave me a scan. I asked Tino if it was alright that I go for a peek without him and he said of course, I"m on a need to know bases and couldn't wait. So when i arrived to my friends place of work i told her, if she see's anything wrong don't tell me, we'll save that for when Tino is with me.
She started scanning the head....the brain looked great, we saw the nasal bones, sinus's, mouth, she was swallowing, down the heart, there are 4 chambers, she was practising breathing which my friends says it doesn't happen often that early, she was opening and closing her hand, kicking her legs, it was crazy, then we get to the privates....legs were crossed, My friend had me move all over the place and all of a sudden..spread eagle....ITS A VAJAY JAY!! I sat up started to cry..I couldn't believe it. She was 110% sure...
I for sure thought I was having a boy. I think I convinced myself it was a boy because I wanted a girl SOOO bad, Tino also thought it was a boy, along with my sister. I had a few dreams about both but then right before the scan i secretly thought it was girl and I was right. I'm SOOO excited. I can't wait to meet her. I can't wait to have an amazing mother daughter relationship like mine.
A boy would of been very cute too...but now I have my girl!
Here are a few picture's of my terrible Ultrasound appt. I had a student scanning me for 1.5 hours and she was awful, she told me I have to come back because she couldn't get all the picture's. I was really upset becauase Tino was there and it wasn't what he expected, so I'm going to a different place next wednesday for a quality scan.

Father's Day!
Today was a great day! I had the day off so Tino and I spent the whole day together, just us. We slept in, read the paper, had coffee with the morning sun, it was very peacefull.....
We left the house around noon and made our way to the driving range and hit balls. I love to golf, and Tino is getting quite good. Although my back is quite sore, I was still able to make some good shot's!! Its something we do together, and it's nice to be outside, get the fresh air, and think about nothing but our swing. We then got slurpees and headed to a soccer game in the north, and spent an hour there. After that we picked up our Special bar b q groceries and headed home for a nap on the deck in the sun, it was very relaxing and I'm so glad the sun was shinning! I can't wait till next year when our little one can give daddy a kiss and thank him for being the best dad ever.
Our bar B Q was very delicious, it consisted of special steaks from the BonTon meat market, baked potato's, ceaser salad, mushrooms and garlic toast. Not only did it taste good it was fun to prepare it and grill it up! We ended in our normal sunday stroll around the neighborhood and had a tasty treat of chocolate rasberry cheesecake for dessert!
Today I am wishing my Dad and amazing day. That man can wear a tie just as good as he can golf (I hope he reads this) haha I found that saying a in card that I did NOT buy, but it really says it all. Here is Me and my amazing father on my wedding day. I definitly have my dad's personality, a bit stubborn and ALOT funny hehehe.
Here is a picture of me at 19.5 weeks, almost 5 months, time is flying by and my shirts are becoming a tad short. My belly is not this big in the morning, so I think half of this bump consists of steak and dessert :)

Pregnancy Addictions!
I think its funny that everyone ask's me what my cravings are and i just say i don't have any..but when i really dig deep, I do! Its not pickles and ice cream together, its more simple things. Its funny to get peoples feedback, I hear so many different things, like mustard...black licorice, cheese...well here are a few of mine!
First Trimester:
Peanut Butter
Rice crackers
Bagels
veggie flavoured cream cheese
gingerale
grilled cheese sandwich's
and.........I hated meat but I LOVED Arby's roast beef sandwich's...GROSS!
Second Trimester
Blueberry eggo's ( with peanut butter or plain cream cheese)
cheesebuns ( sobey's only)
cereal
FRUIT FRUIT FRUIT!!
Boston pizza pasta (tino hates this place)
Anything Bar B Q'd
Tino and I made breakfast on the Bar B Q last weekend. There is nothing better then having a coffee, standing on the deck in my jammies watching Tino Bar b Q bacon and smelling the mix of propane, bacon and bar b q aroma all together...hahah doesn't that sound good? I also love grilled vegges, any sort of meat, and potatoes on the bar b q, grilled corn on the cob is tasty too! I can't remember the last time we turned on the oven because the bar b q is just like one!
Even though its been raining for DAYS....we still use the Bar B!!

Coffee
Its rainy month in the month of June for Calgary. I have to say I love the rain, it makes my garden grow and it's comforting :) I'm working evenings right now, so going to bed at midnight, i've naturally been waking up around 930 or 1000, which is great! All that aside, i feel i sleep in better when its raining, that being said, having a november baby will allow me to nap during the day with no pressure!
So here I am with my morning cup of coffee. I LOVE coffee. Its part of my day and I'm sure most coffee drinkers know, they have to start the day with a coffee, but, a coffee in the morning tastes that much better when you can sit and enjoy it, rather then being on the run. I have limited my coffee intake to 2 cups a day in the morning only, and half decaf. Drinking coffee is something I enjoy and look forward to in the morning, here is today's cup of coffee.
Yes I brew starbucks, the real starbucks where I go to the actual store, choose my coffee and they grind it for me. It looks like a latte but I've learned this new thing, i put cinnamon on top, its so tasty, and it adds something hum drum to it, you should try it. I love the clear glass so i can see the coffee in it!!
I hope your cup of Joe was as good as mine :)

Yard work = Fun
Gardening, its one of my favourite past time's in the summer. I take a lot of pride in my yard, and living in a condo for the past 10 years has put a damper on a healthy and relaxing hobby!
Last year we moved in at the end of June so we got a late start on our yard, this year we started way back in June. Tino LOVES his grass, he is the grass cutter, and trimmer, and i do all the flower beds and meticulous work that makes everything look that much more pretty.
Here are a few picture's of our GORGEOUS green lush grass and our nice clean and easy low maintenance yard!
I didn't plant any pots this year but we put a few things into our beds, so something will always be blooming. I added some snap dragons, pansies, panda mix and a few others. Alot of my yearly flowers bloom so I really don't need to add alot. I've never had a clamatis before ( spelling) so i didn't know how to care for it so i cut it right down in the spring and its growing like crazy. My favourite is the bleeding heart but it hasn't bloomed yet its still early, here are a few more picture's, even though its still mostly green, there is a few peeps of color starting to come through, and its still early. I gave a few of my shrubs a hair cut this morning like my Giant snowflake, because she was getting a bit out of control. Maybe next year i will do some veggies, my mother in law is the pro tomato planter, so she'll have to help me!

...Pain in the....
This pregnancy has been a PAIN IN THE BACK...
I have never suffered back pain until now, and now I know how much of a hinderence it really is. Such a bother all the time, it never goes away. This started about 2 weeks ago, so I went for a massage and it didn't help. I had a VERY BUSY AND HEAVY weekend at work so I don't think that helped either. I need to stop lifting and sliding 250 pound patinets over, its not safe for me nor is it healthy.
So apparently this is what Sciatica feels like. Nerve pain, almost like a sore tooth you keep pushing to see if it still hurts. On Monday I was supposed to clean my filthy house and do laundry but i couldn't lift anything. I walked on my left tippy toe all day because it hurt to put my heel down, now this is not normal for sure.
Today is wednesday and its still not gone, I feel better but I'm afraid to lift anything or I could trigger it, I've either pulled something out of wack, or this little baby is causing me grief.
I just need to be carefull and look after myself.....any suggestions other then massage? It didn't help at all

Its a BOY...nope a Girl....ahhh I don't know!!
Yes we are going to find out. Everyone has there opinions, its so funny how everyone give's you there own advice and almost get mad at you when you tell them we are finding out. Its like they think we are crazy or something, but really, again, its about Tino and I and we are in our 30's so I believe we are capable of making a decision such as this one :)

17 weeks
Wow, 17 weeks already. I feel like a million dollars, my hair is growing long ( which i highlighted last night for the summer, no more black...more J LO brown) I've been sleeping like a baby, i can eat anything, and I feel normal.....I can't believe how far I have come in the last month or so, but I still won't forget the first 3 months, I thought it would never end.
Here is a picture from today. My friend took it of me at work, my scrub top is a tad tight and my scrub bottoms roll do so I had to get a a bunch of T-shirts that look cute and cover the bump. Its not the greatest and stripes don't do wonders, but this morning at work a saw couple people who haven't seen me in a while and they look at me "hi..how are you and then the eye's move down...at my boobs perhaps??? YES they have grown but most of all the round bump on my tummy. Its hilarious...so i quickly grab my scrub jacket and hide hehehehehe. Don't get me wrong, after lunch i'll bump you out of my way with my baby bump it seems to grow as the day goes on, but some people that didn't know I was pregnant see it and then look at me waiting for me to say yes...I'm having a baby!
I have put on 3 pounds, i weighed myself this morning, and I'm pretty happy about that. I am prepared to get puffy and swollen but as for now, i'm just going to enjoy myself during this glowing time!!
