Sick??....or just Pregnant...

Yesterday I just didn't feel myself. I was very tired, had a bit of a headache and I was dizzy. It was the first time in my 2nd trimester I felt Flat out, so i listened to my body and just let it rest. Its amazing what a little rest and sleep can do for someone. Maybe its just that i'm over 6 months pregnant and I just can't have all the expectations of myself anymore...I can't DO IT ALL in one day..I need to spread things out thats all. its time to slow down and just enjoy these next couple months before we have another family member in the house

All that being said, today is a new day and Today I feel great, Tino arrived home and the sun is shinning. I only have 2 shifts left and then i'm off for another 12 days. This summer is starting to shape up with some great weather! We are headed somewhere but we are not sure where yet. Maybe to BC, maybe to Sask...maybe down south to the states, i'm not sure but something easy and simple is always the key!

Here is a picture of the shark tank that has seem to become a daily routine. You can also see our beautiful little oasis that we take pride in. Our yard is so lush. First thing Tino did when he got home was cut the grass, thats his golf green that he babies....did you water the grass he kept asking me!!!

Enjoy the summer weather everyone!!

My soulmate in crime...

Tino had been away for 11 days.....11 DAYS...I think thats the longest we have ever been apart. I have filled my time with haircuts, farmers market, baby shopping, sunning myself, washing my car, Dinner with friends, lots of time with my sister and her boyfriend but nothing cuts the mustard like Deena and Tino time.......I can't wait to have him back, or for him to see this protruding basket ball of a tummy that has gotten a bit out of hand over these last couple weeks...even my T-shirts are tight!!

Here are a few Picture's of the baby bump this week!

6 Months and 2 days...WOW!! Excuse the tan stripe on the belly, that was due to all the splashing around in the shark pool yesterday :)

My Dear Friend Erin!!! This one is for you.....

Have you ever met a good friend that you just click with?? Well I have!! Erin and I met about 4 years ago at the private clinic I sometimes work at. I would see her every now and then, we would keep in touch over the phone and hang out once in a while. We started a dinner club, she is my golf partner and I got to hold her little girl when she was only 5 days old!!

Over the past 2 years Erin and I have become quite close. As most women know its hard to meet good quality down to earth girlfriends who are non-judgmental, who don't talk behind your back, who don't try to compete with you or always have to one up with you.....Erin is that good qaulity girl that is very down to earth and would never judge me. I can totally be my quirky self and she not only gets it she appreciates it. We could talk on the phone for 2 hours and the conversation would never get dull. We have shared alot of "hold your belly and cross your legs" kind of laughs and talked a lot about our pregnancy. I ask Erin A LOT of questions and she give's me and real honest answer. We don't always have the same opinion but we just get a long so well. our conversations go from norwex cloth's, to our husbands, to how do you deal with a tear after labour all the way to the great new panties that fit a pregnant belly and don't fall down!!!!!

Tonight was especially significant because I probably won't see her because she is due to have her second baby and any breaking moment. Her belly has dropped and she is 10 months preggo and I felt we had a great visit and now she can go into labour and I can rest easy because we might not get in another conversation for a couple weeks!!

Erin is having a home birth with a mid-wife, where I'm having a hospital birth with the strongest epidural drug that has ever existed!!! We are different in so many ways, but very similar at the same time!

Thanks for being such a great friend Erin, I have faith that your delivery will go smooth and you have a happy and healthy baby! I'm gonna miss you these next few weeks, and our long detailed conversations about EVERYTHING....but I can't wait to hear all about your labour and EVERY LITTLE DETAIL!!! That being said, our last laugh tonight I think almost broke her water...but I'll kee that one between her and I!!

Nature's Miracle!!

Today I witnessed something amazing in our yard, baby birds were learning how to fly. It was so cool to watch the momma teach her young. There was so much action going on and they were so excited, spreading there wings on the grass, fluffing there feathers and squeeking away. We sat and watched and I got some really amazing photo's with my new camera. The sun is finally starting to shine here and the birds are out singing! This is something my Gedo would love!! ( ukranian grandpa)

Enjoy the small things in life!

22 weeks and counting!!

WOW!!! I'm pushing 23 weeks, almost 6 months preggo. The belly is on its way out for sure! I lifted up my shirt last night for my sister and she touched it, pushed it and kept looking at it and was totally amused by its starting to stretch out! Still no stretch marks HORRAYYYYY!!! I moisturize like crazy, thats not to say I won't get them. It sometimes gets in the way, i think I can squeeze through an area but I don't fit. My mom bumped into it a few times when i was home, my belly closed a drawer on her finger it gave us a good giggle and we blamed it on the belly!

She is kicking like crazy, I can feel her turn, infact she was kicking so hard a few nights ago I jumped in bed because it was so hard. Its really incredible that she wants to let me know she's in there.

I feel FANTASTIC!!! My skin is really great, I sleep well at night although a I pee a few times, but all in all life is great. I don't feel preggo other then this belly bump.

I've purchased a few items for the baby, and every time I see someone new they have a bag of gifts for me. Everyone loves to buy pink! My mom bought me her take home outfit, it looks so tiny but its adorable, she'll look so cute in it, with all her dark hair!

In the Grand scheme of things I only have 3.5 months of work left, thats to hoping everything goes well. I definilty want a couple weeks to myself to rest and just keep my feet up and take it easy before I'm due. Knowing me I'll have everything ready to go a month before. My mom and dad are coming in sept to help me with the nursery. Tino is very busy in the fall so We are counting on the long weekends to get ready for our new little chicken!

Body Worlds!

Wow, walking through this exhibit last night was jaw dropping. It was a rainy night and Tino and I were going to head down to stampede to get some eats, and walk around but it was to wet. At the last minute we decieded to head down to Body Worlds. NOBODY was there, the crowd was sparse, we got to take it all in.

The most amazing thing that I can't get my mind off of was the teeny tiny embryo's they had on display from week4- to week8 of pregnancy. you could see teeny tiny arms on this little white body the side of a pinto bean, its crazy how life starts. It's crazy that you and i started this small.

At time's I felt the bodies were very personal with the eyelashes still on, you could see the profile's of some of the people, it was very very cool.

They also had the womens body on display while bearing child. I thought that was really interesting. They also had a fetus on display at 22 weeks...Tino couldn't believe how big it was already, So i gave him a belly bump to remind him just how big his
baby is :)

I strongly reccomend going to see this, there is never a good time especially with nice weather, but on a cold rainy night at 8pm.....you won't regret it!

Here is a picture that says it all!

SUMMER TIME!

I just arrived home from spending a week with my Parents in Grande Prairie. Tino and I drove down together and he left after the long weekend and I stayed and spent the week there. I had such a wonderful time enjoying the simple things of summer. I bought a new camera while I was there so I'll highlight the events that stick in my mind the most!

Golfing. I'm addicted, I golfed 4 times in one week. Once while Tino was still there, we went to a little course out of town, it was gorgeous out there, all you could smell was the forest and the alberta wild roses, much different from the course I golf in Calgary!

I spent some time with some old friends, and had dinner at earls, that was fun! One morning my mom and I had a Tim Hortons breakfast picnic at Muskoseepee park, it was so Gorgeous out!

I spent a lot of time outside my parents gorgeous backyard visiting with mom and dad is was very relaxing!! I don't get home very often so I soaked it all in. We did a lot of bar b qing, the weather was gorgeous! We had some great quality time together!

I have a lot of preggo friends right now so I spent some time with too, its nice to talk to other gals. My friend Jamie is due in 5 weeks, I'm getting really excited for her. Here are a few pics of them too!

All in all it was a great little getaway and good way to kick off my summer!

My baby bump is growing, I can feel her kicking, its the most amazing feeling in the world. I've bought a few things like her take home outfit etc. We have picked out our furniture and I choose my color's for the nursery! I'm excited to get things started!
