Molars

Another parent FAIL....Ottavia has had a runny nose and not eating for almost a week. No fever, and happy but I know something is up. On top of it, she's been only napping for an hour...(wtf, her naps are minimal 2 hours and this momma needs afternoon naptime when i'm working) and she's been early waking at like 6:30 which I also know that the time change is coming so that could be a part of it....anyways finally today while brushing teeth....I see the little cusps of white molar coming through...UGH...then she says momma teeth ouie....mmmhmmmmm Had i known about this I'm all about drugs so from here on it she will be more comfortable!

Thats my little rant. Other then that this week has gone to shit...i'm so freakin tired from the weekend i haven't had a chance to recover....Looking forward to some R&R in a few days!

GP

Its tuesday and I'm still recovering from the my weekend getaway. It was so fun to say the least. It was so nice to have a schedule, or to have to be somewhere or eat dinner at a certain, we could do anything we wanted.

On the Friday evening we did a little shopping and went for a late dinner and drinks, then headed back to Rae Ann's and rehashed the old days and called it a night at midnight.

On saturday we did some more shopping and got ready for our evening. Saturday night was the most fun night I've had in a LONG TIME....talking to people we all agreed that now, its unfortunate circumstances that will bring us all together again. It was so nice to give Mandy a big hug in person, and to see so many old friends, 2-step like the old days, and just have the surroundings of good old friends around. It was just awsome. Its funny how so much change's but yet life still stays the same, in the sense that, just because we haven't seen eachother in years, its like we just began right where we left off.... anyways it was such a heartfelt night...with WAYYY to many drinks :)

I can't believe march is right around the corner. Our life is extremely busy this month, I'm working A LOT because of lots of holidays in the future. We are so excited for our trip to florida, its coming up so quick. Ottavia is very excited too. She brings it up often! We have alot of things to look forward too!

proud moment!!

I just returned from GP and I have a lot to talk about in regards to the weekend but instead it gets bumped by my proud mommy moment!

This picture doesn't signify the moment at all. Yesterday I was sitting on the couch and Ottavia sat on her Couch crossed her legs, and pointed to where my mom was sitting the last time Ottavia saw her and said baba, legs, cross....It was so cute I had to take a picture, and how does she even remember that?? It was at christmas time that baba was teaching her to cross her legs and it came out again yesterday..too cute.

So the proud moment was this afternoon. She woke up from her nap, I brought her downstairs and sat her on the couch. I was in the kitchen making my lunch for work and getting her a snack, when all of a sudden I hear the sound of chalk on the chalk board side of her easel, and the sweetest little voice ever.....THAT COUNTED TO 11.....Clear as day... My eyes welled up, I dropped everything and ran over there....she had little ticks on her board...and said mamma...11......ugh...my baby is growing TO FAST..its moments like this I wish the days would stand still....but its also moments like this that I'm so thankful I can be home with my baby during the day and not miss these small special moments!

Grande Prairie....

You can take me out of Grande Prairie, but you can't take the Grande Prairie out of me :)

Its been an Odd week, we've had several bumps in the road, but I think we are back on track, just in time for me to ditch town, hop on a plane to my good ol' stompin grounds!

I've been really looking forward to this weekend for a while...I'm heading to Grande Prairie all by my lonesome, no baby, no husband..just me, my purse and my giant suitcase! I haven't gone out of town myself since I was pregnant. Its a long time waiting and it is arriving early tomorrow morning!

There is a reason behind my visit, it all come's down to support a good friend and her family who's daughter, 3 years old was diagnosed with a brain tumour and had surgery around christmas time. There is a giant auction and dinner being held so I'm excited that I can be a part of it!

Its a sad reason why I'm heading to GP but it will also bring me and alot of my old besties' from highschool together, a nice little reunion to say the least. I'm super excited to see everyone and to laugh and talk about old time's, as well as support Ava.

My parents are in florida so I'm staying with my friend Rae Ann in her new house...the plan is no plan :) we are looking forward to drinking coffee (wine) and enjoying eachother's company!

anyways..i feel like this blog has had no flow because i have so much to say but so much to do as i pack and get ready!

Family day 2013

We had the best weekend, even though I got called into work for hooker wage last night, we still had a really great weekend! For Family day today we were going to take Ottavia to her first movie, The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, but we found out last night it only played on saturday so we had no plans for today. I did a whole bunch of laundry and few more things! I mentioned this before but it was so nice to stay home this weekend, no company, no parties, no plans just anything we wanted!

I made homeade pasta today today!

I made 2 giant pots of Paleo friendly pasta sauce which is basically just the real thing that Tino's Nonna taught me how to cook.

My husband made dinner and did the dishes!

We drank lots of wine!

We did pedicure's!

And we manage to must make ourselves comfortable eventhough the entire couch is empty....instead I'll just sit on your face :)....

This little girl just brings us so much JOY.....best age ever, we are just enjoying every single 10th of a second with her!

I made some terrible eating choice's this weekend but back at it tomorrow! I hope everyone had a great long weekend!

Sunday Science Adventure

This morning we headed out first thing to the SPARKS science centre. I've heard mixed reviews for this place, and its quite expensive to get in but we thought we'd go and check it out.

I hate to say it but we were HIGHLY dissapointed :( Its a beautful fancy building filled with a bunch of boring stuff. Maybe if we had an educator with us it would be different. Ottavia enjoyed a few things, like the rock shaving and the wheel turning but 20 mins in Tino and I both looked at eachother and both said.."this is it??

This next situation was quite funny. You could hit the button and get this monster to move and ROAR super loud. Kids were crying in fear and covering thier ears while Ottavia kept hitting the button over and over. It was hilarious! She loved it, she would get real close and try and stick her head in to see if the monster would bite her. It's eye's were so real, she even pointed out "eye, brown"

 

 It was a nice to get out of the house on this windy morning but I don't think we'll be back, we are better off going to the zoo. Maybe when she is older and has a field trip we'll go back but as for any time soon I don't see it happening.

Saturday Story Time

This weekend we planned to get out of town, but the more we thought about it, the more it was a good idea to stay home, enjoy calgary and sleeping in our bed is always best with a little one. We have lots of great plans for this weekend and its only saturday. Tino and I are going out tonight, we are not sure where but my cousin is babysitting so we can do anything we want!

We started off this morning with our usual Saturday morning library class. I think I've mentioned it before but its free, its at 10:30 and Ottavia LOVES it.  There are 3 ladies that rotate doing the class who work there and today, this lady was great. I've previously registered  Ottavia into programs at the library but to even get a spot is like winning the lottery. They are so great and everyone wants in so we just stick to this, we are not obligated to go.


We were early so Tino went off to look at books and we picked out our weekly selection. Kids started to arrive and she was quickly attracted to them. She loves older girls about the age 5, and I think they love her because she will do almost anything they say and really looks up to them. She took a seat right next to them and the rest was history, she found a new bestie! I took this as a photo op. Some of these pictures are just so adorable and I hope she can look back on this one day. Watching her almost makes me want to make her sisiter...ALMOST HAHAHAH and then I quickly come to a reality and remember what its like to sleep all night long!

skinny...

If it was easy to be skinny, nobody would be fat....It takes a lot of work to be fat, as well as it does to be skinny.....


Being skinny is HARD... it is consuming me and every little thing I do, and I'm working my ASS off and I'm seeing results, but hard things arn't easy....everything takes work....alot of work...

Today I had my hardest crossfit work out YET..I was huffing and puffing and oh my god I thought at one point i was going to die, Ottavia was watching me with GIANT eye's, Ashley was shouting at me in a loud voice, sweat was dripping off my face, neck and forehead.....and then it was all done, and I went SPLAT on the floor and layed there for a minute catching my breath.....phew it felt SO GOOD....THATS THE THING, OMG IT FEELS SO DAMN GOOD!! I love that HURT of bending down the next day to pick something up or hardly being able to roll over in bed at night because I can feel my ab muscles bleeding!

I could do things today that I couldn't even do on monday..I'm stronger, I'm 4 pounds less, I feel so good....and now i'm addicted!

anyways, thats what is on my mind. I burnt off all that freaking butter I ate last night while dipping my mouth watering melt in your mouth sweet crab hahahaha!!! But it tasted so delicious!

Happy LOVE day!!

Today was GLORIOUS. I love Valentines day, there is something about it. I remember as a little girl getting up in the morning to find my little treats from my parents and having school parties and exchanging little valentines. I love everything about it.

Today Ottavia went to the day home. She was so excited because she new it was Valentine party day. Ottavia love's all her little friends but she has a special bond with Emily, who is Kristine's daughter. Emily is in Grade 1 so Ottavia doesn't get to see her much, but because it is teacher's convention she was there today and all Ottavia could say this morning was "emmy", "party", "treats" :) So CUTE.  So we had breakfast and off we went to Kristine's.

I had the day to gut my house from top to bottom, and get our special evening ready. It felt good to get some things done, as I let everything go this past week because of work, and Ottavia wasn't feeling well.  When I picked Ottavia up she was so excited to tell me about the day, and left with her little valentine loot bag in her hand..SO CUTE....

I had a balloon waiting for her in the car, and when she got home she opened up her little valentine gift from us, it was stickers, smartie treats, a little book to draw in, some heart kleenex, and few other things. She was delighted!!

When daddy came home we had a giant group hug, and we he cracked a bottle of wine and started the bar b q. He gave me the sweetest card ever, it actually brought tears to my eye's. He usually buys cards that say something like....I'm just like cupid, when I fart it sends you a Love arrow hahaha..infact i think thats exactly what it said last year. Stuffed in it was a starbucks card and a new lipstick for Ottavia!

Dinner was so yummy, probably because I haven't put one bad thing in my body for A WEEK!! It was so much more enjoyable then siting in a restaurant.

This Valentine's could of not got any better. Its the simple things that mean so much. I have a genuine true love for Tino, we are real soul mates, he make's me so happy...and then we see this little girl with both our mannerism's that make us both smile and laugh! I hope your day of Love was as great as mine!
