So far so good!!!

We are getting pretty excited over here, although i think baby is feeling pretty cushy, I got up this morning to a big basket ball with a huge bum sticking out quite low on my belly. I believe they call this...."you have dropped" .....HA that means nothing really. Last week the Dr. looked me in the eye and told me I was effaced and dilated...you could have this baby at any time...I nodded and smiled. I stopped believing it, every single one of my friends has gone overdue so I don't expect to be any different, plus she is quite small so the longer she cooks, the bigger she will be, the better she will sleep!!

I honestly have no huge complaints...you'd think that this stage in the game i'd be bitchy, tired, achy sore....well I am, but nothing worth talking about. I actually feel better now then I did 6 weeks ago, I think it could be the mat leave, everyday is a Saturday now :) I'm definilty not to the point of " just get her out" quite yet, although i'll be happy to have a coat that zips up, and can't wait to put my own socks on!

A few purchased items from etsy.com arrived in the mail yesterday, they are SOOO pretty. My friend stacey told me about this website, i Love it. Here are a few pictures. The quality isn't great becaue i took them on my iphone, unlike my lucky husband its the 3G so no flash, and the chandilier we have in the nursery give's texture on the walls!

I will keep everyone posted!

Baby Shower

Today was a BIG day. I felt so much love in my house, not only for me but for my unborn daughter. I had 25 people in my house, all once to celebrate this little baby that has not even been born. It was such a Lovley day.

My BFF Tanis drove up from Edmonton yesterday and we spent the whole day together. She had some plans and she drove around and picked up the things she needed for the shower, I added some in put, we had a lot of laughs, enjoyed a lovley dinner and went to bed.

I woke up this morning so excited. The party got started around1pm, people quickly started to arrive and it became a HUGE HEN FEST. We feasted, laughed, cried, ate, chatted, opened presents, ate somemore...it was so fun. I have so many genuine friends that were here for me, that care about me, worry about me. It feels so great to have these people in my life. Calgary is where I can honestly call home, where We've made a life for ourself's, where I have met some very close friends that have made a big impact in my life. Some of these people I could call on a whim and they would do anything for me, some older, some younger, some very different then me, thats why I love them all.

Thanks for making my baby shower one of the most memorable days in my life. Its crazy to think, but exactly 2 years ago to the day, was my wedding shower, and most of the girls there, were here today to celebrate the next step in my life.

Enough of wishy washy heartfelt stuff....I GOT SO MANY GIFTS I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN!!! People are so generous, its crazy. I haven't been to a baby shower in a long time, but I forgot how generous people can be. Tino and I really scored today, our little baby is set for life.

Here are some picture's from the shower. One of my favourite parts was the cake. My sister brought this cake that she ordered from the same place we had our wedding cake done. The flavour was Red velvet with creme cheese filling and buttercreme icing....WOW it was to dye for.

I will definitly sleep well tonight which my heart bursting at the seems with happiness. I'm so happy, yet so calm....but on the other hand, i really want this week to get a little bit more nesting done!

Happy Sunday

Checking of my list!

Wow, my first week off of work and i'm smashing my list off like a pro. Nothing strenous or crazy but things like getting an oil change, picking things up I'm soon to run out of and won't be able to just quickly pick it up when baby come's like special face products I use, etc. I'm so proud of myself!

Things are going well, everyone ask's how are feeling? Pretty good I have to say. Tired but whoever wants to hear how tired someone is, just something I"m used to now, and I don't move as quickly as I used to, but other then that pretty good. Some days my feet swell up like Crazy and other's I'm okay. I nap alot and kind of putt's around rather then rush, things are good.

We had our last ultrasound on tuesday. The tech scanned me for about 15 minutes. My tummy was rolling about, the baby didn't like it, some of the strongest stretches and kicks i've felt yet. Then the perineonatologist came in and scanned me, and she says..look at allllll that white stuff, I was shocked, I said oh my god what is all that....HAIR!!! She will have a FULL HEAD of hair :) Good thing i'm bringing her a little burrette to pin her bangs back, wouldn't want those to get in the way while she eats :) The Dr. stated she is Small but perfect, everything balanced itself out, she won't be very big but Tino and I arn't huge, and we were average babies, which will make for a nice delivery lets hope!

We LOVE her so much already, after this weekend she can come anytime, that would be perfect!

Is This Even LEGAL????????

Our really super awsome neighbor's who let there dog bark 24/7 that never seems to get a headache or sore throat, had all this delievered and dropped infront of our house and there's.....NICE!!

I promise it will be there for MONTHS. Is this even Legal?? I love the outhouse...thats my favourite part of the whole deal.

My baby shower is on Sunday and we are expecting over 30 guests...where are they going park. We live in such a beautiful neighborhood, and we look out our front window to this.......

I thought it wasn't legal to have a trailer, nor a dumpster on the street, let alone an outhouse, they should put it on there own grass, since the Female dog uses it as a toilet...

any suggestions?????

37 weeks and counting!!

This is good...this is really good. I'm just shy of 37 weeks, meaning our chicken is full cooked, no poached soft, no over medium...well done eggie! Just what every mother wishes for. We are scheduled for another ultrasound on tuesday which will determine our Induction date if needed. I really hope it's after next weekend, my baby shower is scheduled for next Sunday and I am SOOO looking forward to it. I get to spend some quality time with all my friends in low places, I can hardly wait.

I am officially done work, which is wonderfull, my Dr. put me off a little earlier, but I can't even imagine carrying this huge tummy around. When I can rest and do things leisurly, its non stressfull and easy. The minute I have to rush or hurry, thats when it gets ugly.

Soccer season is almost over, just like we had planned this baby around! Tino is 10 for 10 all win's, his team has not lost a single game, Mount royal university cougars is in first place in the south, now if he win's both games next weekend, that brings him to nationals...which brings us to our due date, so if baby is not here.....thats a whole other blog :)

Ready or not, our full term baby could arrive any day, I don't feel like she is ready quite yet. There is no more little kicks, its full on elbow's and feet with cat stretches, and hiccups that shake my whole tummy, its crazy. Everyone says i'll miss it but I"m looking forward to see the real thing. People stare at me, like i'm .....Diseased!!!

Here is a picture of me to the day, not a single stretch mark yet!!

Happy sunday everyone!

Thanksgiving

Iam so Thankful, the 2 number one things on the top of my list are health and family, everything after that is just a bonus. I could list everything I'm so thankful for but I better not, my eye's are sore, today has been super emotional.

This weekend has turned around, at first I was sad because our trip was cancelled to Regina for a wedding, but then I was happy because I had my parents here, we got a lot done, Tino and I spent a lot of quality time together, the weather was amazing, I ate as much food as I could stuff into my egg sized belly and we spent some good family time together. Alot of laughs, like almost put me into labour laughing, and alot of good times.

Tonight my we had our family dinner at my house, my mom and dad and Tino did most of the work but it was amazing. We sat in the yard and just had such a great time. I really took it all in because thats the last time we'll have a function without our baby.

My Dad and TIno did the Turkey on the Bar B Q...it was to die for!!!!

My feet are swollen, my back is aching, but WHAT A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING...

Here are a few picture's from the feast!

Tino was busy basting the turkey!

The Nursery...

Well, here is something I've put my heart and Soul into this past week with my mom. Its not totally done, I've ordered some decor online this morning, but this will give you an idea. I LOVE our babies room, my vision came alive. I have some homeade turquois bedding on the way ( my favorite color) but my mom bought me this set so I will have two! I am officially READY! My bag is packed, and so is our baby's. My house isn't clean and my laundry isn't done, but i have this week to do that. Tino will install the carseat base tomorrow. I'm getting really excited.

My mom has been my amazing grace this entire week. What do people do without a mother, I have no idea. I cried really hard tonight when she and my dad left our house after dinner. Partly because I'm emotional, but partly because the next time I see her I will be a mother myself. Wow, how lucky, I can only hope to have a relationship with my daughter, like I have with my mother.

I also spoke with my Baba tonight (grandma), she is quite old but her last words to me tonight were, stay strong, breath through it, when you think its the worst...it can only get better.

I have such amazing Women in my life.

35 weeks and a few cents....

Well, if our baby chick came tonight, I would be ready, we have all the diaper and bath fixings, a car seat her room is almost finished and my bag and her bag is packed.

Do I sleep....hahahaha are you kidding, I don't walk through the mall anymore, I definitly have a waddle, my feet are swollen, and my left upper side of my belly is numb, she has totally pinched a nerve.

We've had a few complications with low heart rate, baby size and Fluid level's so Dr is keeping a close eye on me, and I could be induced in 2 weeks...WOW.

sooo i'm pretty much done, I think most women are done by this time......here is my safeway experience.....

Cashier- " WOW your HUGE"
me- " thanks a lot, a 9 month pregnant lady just love's to be told they are huge....so when are you due"???
Cashier- " I'm not pregnant"
Me- " Don't you love that????"

and then I snickered and left heheheeh

Here is a picture, I have one shift left till the end of the month, we'll see if i make it till then. We are sooo excited.......Honestly, we can't wait to meet our well done cooked bird!

Happy Sunday everyone
